Last night saw the final episode of Skies Above Britain on BBC2.

The series has shown many different perspectives of aviation and highlighted many areas that you might not ordinarily think too much about when you’re flying off on holiday – such as air traffic control.

To continue to share with you what goes on here at NATS, we have launched a new feature on our social media channels.

#dayinthelife is an image-based feature on our Instagram page following trainee air traffic controllers with the intent to give you an insight into how they got to where they are now and what a typical day looks like for them.

Using the hashtag #dayinthelife we will be posting photos twice a week on Instagram and sharing them on our Facebook Careers page and Twitter account.

We hope you enjoy our photos and are inspired by the stories from our students. Please feel free to retweet, like and share them.

Head over to our Facebook Careers page, Instagram and Twitter page now to see more…

Tom the trainee…” I kinda panic even when I know I’ve done it right”. Great, just the kind of person I want controlling MY plane
