Creating a welcoming and inclusive working environment for everyone is really important to us at NATS.

We appreciate that having colleagues from diverse backgrounds, and encouraging an inclusive environment, allows people to be the best they can be and brings a wide range of skills, knowledge, creativity, innovation and energy to our organisation.

With that in mind, I’m really pleased to announce our Return to Work scheme, aimed to get those who may have been out of work for a period of time back into the workplace.

This is the first time we’ve run a scheme like this. We want to give an opportunity for people to return to the workplace and gain new skills, as well as receive full support to help successfully transition back into work.

Returning to work after a break can be daunting, especially for people who may have lost their confidence in the workplace, so we’ve planned this scheme to be a meaningful experience. It will include offering individual development plans, mentoring support and networking opportunities.

The roles we expect to come up under the scheme would suit someone wishing to return to the workplace after a period of absence of two or more years. The break in service could be down to various reasons such as travel, sickness, maternity or caring – so it’s suitable for a wide range of people and we are happy to consider part-time working and/or job sharing.

To create these roles, we work closely with the business as part of our focus on developing talent and looking at ways to widen the opportunities we offer as an employer.

Our first vacancy has been filled, but we hope to be able to expand this opportunity across the business in the future.  If you’re interested, keep an eye on our careers site and social media pages.
