At NATS, being a responsible business isn’t just a commitment or policy; it is a core part of who we are and how we work every day. Our latest Responsible Business Report makes this clear and outlines the significant progress we’ve made across the organisation over the past financial year (2024/25), ensuring that responsibility is embedded into everything we do. Our people are at the heart of this progress, and their passion and dedication have delivered achievements I’m incredibly proud of.

Supporting charitable causes is one important priority that continues to grow and evolve. This year, our employees donated over £250,000 through the Government-backed Give As You Earn scheme, helping us retain the prestigious Payroll Giving Platinum Award. We also re-launched our site-based charity partners initiative, enabling colleagues to choose local charities to support, and lead on our engagement with them. We’re now proudly partnering with:

These partnerships will no doubt be mutually rewarding, benefitting from our employees’ enthusiasm for fundraising and volunteering, strengthening our connection to the communities where we are based and positively impacting employee wellbeing.

Our commitment to developing talent is also stronger than ever. This year we achieved a new milestone, as the first cohort of Apprentice Trainee Air Traffic Controllers graduated and progressed to the next stage of their careers. We also made great strides with Future Minds, our STEM outreach programme, which aims to inspire young people and help to address the industry-wide skills shortage.

Equality, diversity and inclusion remain an essential part of our responsible business strategy. We were proud to climb from 44th to 27th in the UK’s Top 50 Inclusive Companies list, and this is a reflection of the commitment of our employees from across the business and our Employee Networks. This is of course just a snapshot of our achievements this year, and I would encourage you to take a closer look at the report to find out more. In the meantime, we will continue to focus our efforts on making a real difference as we continue to safely manage air traffic.
