Following a strong start to the year, quarter two has built nicely on the momentum set earlier in 2025. Across all sites, our colleagues have continued to show real commitment to supporting local causes, giving their time, creativity and energy to make a meaningful difference in their communities.

Up against some tough competition, our HR Reward team won the ‘Best Benefits to Support Menopause’ award at the Employee Benefits Awards in London! The team also went on to win the judges’ final and most prestigious award of the year, the Grand Prix Award. These are incredible achievements which reflects the collaboration between our teams over the last few years to lead the change within the Aviation industry.

There have been several updates at the Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve recently, including the installation of a brand-new wildlife garden; a tranquil space where visitors can unwind in nature. It’s also an accessible, wheelchair-friendly area that everyone can enjoy, and has been a true testament to partnership working. In addition, we’re already seeing some of our native species of wildlife using the space, which we hope to increase year on year as the reserve thrives.

To mark Volunteers’ Week 2025, we shine a light on some of our employees who volunteer in their own time, to help their local communities and support charities close to their hearts. We hear about why they give back and how important it is to support others…

In the last financial year, our commitment to giving back has remained a focal point; from supporting local communities to championing charitable causes, and empowering future generations through workplace opportunities, we’ve dedicated a significant amount of time, resources, and above all, passion, to making a difference.

Springtime is breeding season for frogs and toads, when they return to the body of water they were spawned so they can mate and lay eggs. Unfortunately, getting back can be difficult, but thankfully the team at Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve were on hand recently to help out.

Our employees have raised thousands of pounds this quarter for dozens of charities, both locally and nationally. From food bank drives and toy appeals to animal shelter appeals, raffles and bake sales; there’s been so much to celebrate and get involved with here at NATS.

We are always looking for ways to contribute positively to the areas where we live and work and to help build strong, sustainable communities. It’s important to us not only as a responsible business, but to the many NATS employees who are actively involved in supporting charities, good causes, or groups in our local communities. Here’s a update on what we’ve been doing to give back this quarter.

We were delighted to support the GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF) again this year, through a project that seeks to support entrepreneurs in New Delhi to become financially independent. We contributed another 25 pushcarts to the initiative to support local business, and were honoured to hear the success stories of those who benefitted from our funding last year.
