It’s that time of the year again: warm summer evenings are becoming a distant memory and as the
nights draw in, it’s time to pull the curtains and settle down for another series of our favourite TV
singing contest, The X Factor.

Now in its sixth week, the show is fast approaching its most extravagant instalment – the “Judges’
Houses” – where acts jet off to exotic locations to book their place in the live finals.

With Judges’ Houses last year located in Nice, Cape Town, San Francisco, and Istanbul, the 24 lucky
acts took to the skies in a bid to convince Simon, Nicole, Sharon, and Louis, that they had what it
took to go the distance.

Of course, we know that they couldn’t have got anywhere without air travel – so in celebration of
both the X Factor, and for all the people who have ever flown somewhere to follow their dreams,
we’re offering you the chance to win £250 with this week’s Sky by Numbers competition.

Simply tell us:

What was the combined number of miles last year’s final 24 acts flew to arrive at the Judges’
Houses in Nice (with Simon), San Francisco (with Sharon), Cape Town (with Nicole) and Istanbul
(with Louis).

It’s either A) 81,444 or B) 57,462

Whether you’re sure you have the answer, have an inkling you might be right, or just want to take a
punt, you could be in with a chance to win £250. Head to our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
channels to enter. And don’t forget to include the hashtag #SkyByNumbers in your answer!

Then, whether you’re watching X Factor or simply doing your best Shawn Mendes impression in the
shower, why not take a moment to think about the role airspace plays in people’s lives?

Psst… need a clue? It’s further than you think!
