5 June 2018Running since 1972, World Environment Day on 5 June is the United Nations’ flagship day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the environment. This year’s theme is ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ which asks us all reduce our dependence on single use plastic that ends up in our oceans and food chain.

Despite falling oil prices, initiatives to reduce carbon emissions, fuel consumption and flight times remain a priority for our airline customers. It’s also one of our overarching corporate objectives, with the aspiration of enabling a 10% cut in aviation CO2 emissions by 2020.
