Sustainability is something close to my heart, made all the more prominent thanks to my experience with the topic, having previously studied for my PhD in Marine Biology. The NATS Analytics team – with backgrounds ranging from data science, mathematics and statistics to aeronautical engineering and air traffic control – was instrumental in producing the safety assessment that supported new oceanic global separation reductions and calculated the significant safety benefits due to the frequent and accurate positional updates.

When faced with an opportunity to upskill in programming languages earlier this year, NATS’ Analytics team thought outside the box.
